Former Friends Courteney Cox and Brad Pitt Reunite at Charity Event, Leaving Jennifer Aniston Out
Courteney Cox and Brad Pitt had a mini-reunion at a recent charity event, leaving Jennifer Aniston out of the equation. The former friends, both 60, were spotted together at the Rock4EB fundraising event on Saturday, September 21, in Malibu, California. This marked a rare public appearance for the two, who shared a close bond during Pitt’s marriage to Cox’s best friend, Aniston.
The pair, looking amicable, put their arms around each other and posed for a photo at the star-studded event, which aims to find a cure for the rare skin condition epidermolysis bullosa.
Cox opted for a casual look, wearing a stripped button-up shirt left undone, minimal makeup, and her dark hair tousled. Pitt, on the other hand, sported a more stylish ensemble – beige pants with neon yellow stripes paired with a white button-up and aviator-style sunglasses. He was accompanied by his girlfriend of nearly two years, Ines de Ramon.
Despite nearly 20 years since Pitt’s divorce from Aniston, the two former friends appeared comfortable and at ease with each other.
Their reunion sparked memories of their iconic appearance together on a 2001 episode of “Friends” titled “The One with the Rumor” during Season 8. Pitt played Will Colbert, a character tied to the “I Hate Rachel [Green]” club in high school alongside David Schwimmer’s Ross Geller. At the time, Pitt was married to Aniston.
Pitt and Aniston’s marriage, which began in Malibu in 2000, ended in 2005. Since then, the two have maintained a platonic friendship. Pitt attended Aniston’s 50th birthday party in 2019, and they also reunited at the 2020 Screen Actors Guild Awards before their playful table-read of “Fast Times at Ridgemont High.”
While some fans have hoped for a reconciliation between the two, Aniston has emphasized their “buddies” status, stating that there is “no oddness at all” between them.
