Upper East Side Stabbing Leaves One Dead, Another Seriously Injured
A deadly altercation on the Upper East Side Sunday afternoon left one man dead and another seriously injured, according to police and sources. The incident occurred around 1:30 p.m. at 232 East 95th Street.
Responding officers discovered a bloody scene, finding the unidentified deceased man with trauma to his chest and neck. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The other individual involved, a 27-year-old man whose identity is currently unknown, was present at the scene and sustained multiple lacerations. He was transported to New York Cornell Medical Hospital in serious but stable condition.
Police recovered two knives at the location. The circumstances surrounding the fight, including who initiated the confrontation, are still under investigation.
The Office of Chief Medical Examiner has yet to determine the victim’s official cause of death. No arrests have been made at this time, and the investigation remains ongoing.
